Welcome
Chester Sexual Violence Support Service (CSVSS) was founded in the late 90s, is a registered charity affiliated to Rape Crisis England and Wales and adheres to their National Standards.
Who we support
We provide free face to face counselling, as well as a telephone support line for women aged 18 years and over who have been affected by any form of rape, sexual abuse or sexual violence at any time in their lives. This includes women who may not necessarily have been abused directly, but who might have witnessed the abuse (partner or sibling) or been affected by someone's disclosure to them (professional such as a nurse, social worker etc).
Our service is run for women from a discrete location. We are also an organisational member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Although we are based in Chester city centre, we work with clients from the surrounding areas as well. If you feel that Chester would be the most appropriate location for you to access our face to face counselling then please get in touch with us.
You can also access our telephone support line on 01244 317 922 no matter where you live.
Please feel free to browse the site. You will find information on the facts/myths about rape and sexual violence together with Resources with links to useful websites and information on other services in the UK that may help you, family, friends, students and professionals.
