Awareness-raising and training
As well as it being important to support those affected by sexual violence, we also believe it equally vital that other organisations, both voluntary and statutory, are provided with information regarding sexual violence including the myths and statistics and the effect of sexual violence on victims. We feel that raising awareness and educating others can contribute towards services working more effectively with victims.
With this in mind, CSVSS provide awareness workshops to voluntary and statutory organisations.

- Look at sexual violence within the context of domestic abuse, together with its occurrences outside of intimate relationships.
- Explore the myths surrounding sexual violence.
- Discuss the statistics regarding the prevalence of sexual violence, together with how many incidents are reported to the police.
- Explore the effects of sexual violence.
- Look at how CSVSS fit into working with clients and referral pathways.
- Give links to other services which provide support to victims of sexual violence.
