Welcome
Chester Sexual Violence Support Service (CSVSS), formerly Chester Rape Crisis, was founded in the late 90s and is an independent voluntary organisation with registered charitable status affiliated to Rape Crisis England and Wales.
We provide free face to face counselling, as well as a telephone support line for women over 18 years of age, who have suffered from any form of rape, sexual abuse or violence at any time in their lives. Our service is run just for women from a discrete location. We are also an organisational member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
Although we are based in Chester city centre, we work with clients from the surrounding areas as well. If you feel that Chester would be the most appropriate location for you to access our face to face counselling then please get in touch with us.
You can also access our telephone support line on 01244 317 922 no matter where you live.
Please feel free to browse the site. You will find information on the facts/myths about rape and sexual violence together with Resources with links to useful websites and information on other services in the UK that may help you, family, friends, students and professionals.
